Several of Tom H's Insane Bike Posse were off doing a Covered Bridges ride today (about which I don't think I got the memo), so there were only a few regulars, and one club newbie on the ride he scheduled for today.
But it was a glorious day, with a tailwind on the way out. Tom had picked a not-too-demanding 48-mile route out of Allentown. We'd get to pass some longhorn cattle along the way.
Wait... is that fella on our side of the fence?
He is.
Now, we have a tradition of sending off a picture with a middle-finger salute to one of our number when she doesn't come along on the ride. Tom decided that we should get that picture with the loose bull (although I suspect he's an ox) in the background. Only two of our number were fool enough to do it:
No untoward or dramatic incidents arose out of the taking of the picture... or out of any other situation related to the ride either. I did have to pull over at one point to clean my glasses...
We stopped at Charleston Coffee, where I forget to get pictures, and came back through some headwinds, but on such a lovely day, it's unseemly to make such a minor complaint.
You can take a look at the ride page.
